Do I need an initial assessment to become a resident at Villa?

Yes. Villa will assist you with your initial assessment as well as a Physician’s Certification.  A Physician’s Certification is simply forms completed by your physician letting Villa know you meet requirements to live in an assisted living community.  If you are coming to Villa as an Independent Resident you are not required to have a Physician’s Certification, but we would make the recommendation to have one.

Is staff available 24 hours a day?

Yes.  A Licensed Nurse, assisted by Certified Nursing Assistants, is available to provide care at all times.

Do you offer therapy services on site?

Yes.  Therapists are available to provide physical, occupational and speech therapies when ordered by your physician. When eligible, your insurance will be billed through the therapy department that is providing the service to you.  The Genesis Therapy Center at Villa offers a private room, physical therapy gym.  We also have walking paths available as part of therapy services.  These walking paths are referred to as pathways to nature and include two ponds.

May I use my own pharmacy?

Yes. If you would like to use your pharmacy, you may. But for your convenience we also have a contracted pharmacy. This can make the entire process of managing your prescriptions easier. No more running to the drug store! Of course, we understand that some insurance requirements are that you obtain your medications from a specific pharmacy. Feel free to ask any questions of the Staff Nurse. We are always there to help.

Is transportation to my medical appointments provided?

Yes. Villa provides a wheelchair accessible van that can be scheduled for transportation to medical appointments – this is a free service for our residents.

How and when are meals served?

Villa offers Restaurant Style Dining. Meals are available anytime from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. You may choose breakfast at 9 a.m., lunch at 1 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m. At Villa, dining times are your choice.  You may prefer to be waited on by staff or have a meal in your room. You will have a variety of hot entrees, side dishes, salads and desserts from which to select. We also have an additional private dining room for special events and catering available by our dining services department. Invite your family and friends to join you for a meal. They are always welcomed guests. Only a nominal fee is charged for guests.

What is included in the base rental fee?

Your apartment, all meals, laundry services, housekeeping, transportation, cable TV, WiFi, telephone, activities.

Is laundry service provided?

Yes. Villa provides laundry service for both your personal items and linens.  We also have additional laundry facilities on-site for use by you or your family at no charge. Each residents laundry is done individually. We look forward to serving you.

Are housekeeping services available?

Yes. Housekeeping services are provided once per week, or as needed.

Do residents have an opportunity to discuss and give input on relevant issues?

Yes. Your feedback and ideas are vital to the quality of lifestyle at Villa. Villa will hold a monthly meeting or as requested by the residents to discuss any issues or ideas. All residents are encouraged to participate in this important meeting.

Will my family have the opportunity to meet and discuss any ideas or suggestions?

Yes. We encourage you to invite your family to meet once every three months or as needed. This is a chance for families to share ideas and socialize with each other.

Who do I go to for further questions?

The Executive Director and/or the Staff Nurse are available to assist you at any time. Villa will also provide a Resident Handbook as part of your welcome package. This book will outline all our community has to offer.
