Rantoul native Laura Frerichs has been named the new Executive Director of Villa residential senior-living community. With over two decades experience as a Registered Nurse, Frerichs will join the Villa in July after spending the last five years as a charge nurse in the PACU and Heart Center at Carle Foundation Hospital. Her duties will include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Villa and fostering a positive environment for residents, family and friends, and all team members. She will also be responsible for attracting, developing, and retaining top talent, supervising and training, team-member relations, communication, family services, resident well-being, quality assurance, financial management, and regulatory compliance.
She is excited for the new opportunity and is confident her wealth of experience as a nurse will allow her to provide the care and leadership that embodies the Villa mission. “I am so excited and grateful to be joining the community of the Villa,” Frerichs stated. “To me, it represents a longstanding mission of vision and strength, and I could not be prouder to be a part of it.”
The Villa is also excited to welcome back Elena Hardy as Administrative Assistant. After a brief stint away, Elena rejoins the team where she will work closely with the Executive Director to handle general administrative tasks. She will also assist the residents with their daily lives, escorting them to appointments, meals, activities, and more. Additional duties will include making sure everything operates smoothly in the building for the residents and providing tours of the Villa community to potential residents and their families.
Upon rejoining the staff, Ms. Hardy commented, “It’s a pleasure returning to the Villa, and I am honored. I look forward to assisting the residents and working together with Laura for the residents and the community.”
